Loreto Convent School students visit laboratories at IBSD Node Meghalaya

Shillong, Aug 27: Students of Loreto Convent School, Shillong, along with their teachers visited the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Node Meghalaya, for their educational visit on Saturday.

During the visit, students were acquainted to different activities of the Institute, research laboratories scientific instruments and available local bioresources particularly medicinal plants.

The activities of sensitization of young mind of students is supported by the guidance and initiative of the Director, IBSD, Prof. Pulok K. Mukherjee to promote awareness of science & technology and their sustainable utilization towards development of local Bioresources.

It may be mentioned that IBSD is organising such activities in different parts of North East India and conducts weekly Online Webinar Series, ‘IBSD-Scientific Talk’, covering various topics to inculcate scientific temperament among students and awareness about local Bioresources.
