Shillong, Oct 24: Two drug peddlers were arrested along with heroin at Sohryngkham in East Khasi Hills district on Friday.
They have been identified as Suma (42) and Sultan Mahammad Mazumder (35), both are residents of Silchar, Assam.
Acting on a tip-off, the ANTF set up a naka at Sohryngkham and detained a vehicle bearing registration number AS 11 EC 3733.
Four soap boxes filled with suspected contraband (heroin) total net weight 54.13 grams were recovered and seized from their possession.
An FIR has been filed by the ANTF, Meghalaya at Sohryngkham outpost for further necessary action.
