The duo were appointed after election commissioner Arun Goel had tendered his resignation on Saturday.
After Arun Goel’s resignation, speculations were made of him resigning citing personal reasons, behind this decision.
However, sources within the Election Commission have revealed some serious differences between Goel and CEC Rajiv Kumar.
Surrounded with these controversial developments, the ECI has geared up for some busy weeks ahead, with responsibilities of conducting the upcoming elections hopefully in April-May this year.
