On Friday (Aug 11), a congregation of leaders of several women-based bodies announced the formation of a committee with an objective of delivering justice to the surviving gang-rape victim.

The incident of gang rape came to light after 37-year-old woman had lodged a complaint to the police in Manipur’s Bishnupur on August 9 alleging that she was gang-raped by a group of miscreants on May 3 evening while fleeing after her house was torched along with others in the neighbour.
