TURA, Sept 4: A young Garo woman has been found dead in a suspected case of suicide in New Delhi on September 3rd.
The girl is identified as 26 years old Hamera Momin. She belonged to Sakware village, Adokgre post office region of Kharkutta, North Garo Hills district.
North Garo Hills deputy commissioner R P Marak confirmed that a case of suicide has been reported from New Delhi and necessary steps are being taken in connection with the incident.
The victim was found hanging inside her rented house under Mehrauli police station in the national capital.
New Delhi police have contacted Meghalaya police after breaking open the door to her apartment.
According to official sources, she was married with a child but had shifted alone to the national capital a few years back.
