Kohima, June 15: The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC), the apex body representing the Ao, Lotha, Sümi and Rengma tribes, on Monday stressed the need for peace, unity and collective action for the overall development of Nagaland during a meeting with state minister Kaito G. Aye.
A delegation of the CNTC called on Aye, the Minister for Roads and Bridges and Convenor of the Central Nagaland Legislative Forum, and discussed issues concerning the state and the role of communities in fostering harmony and progress.
The council highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts among different sections of society to promote peace, strengthen inter-community relations and work towards the welfare of the people of Nagaland.
The CNTC also shared its vision of enhancing cooperation among communities and contributing to a more inclusive and progressive society.

Responding to the delegation, Aye urged the council to continue serving as a force for peace and social harmony, while championing the rights and aspirations of the people without bias or prejudice.
He emphasized the need for constructive dialogue, collective responsibility and mutual respect in addressing the challenges facing the state.
Expressing confidence in the council’s role, the minister encouraged the CNTC to continue working towards a peaceful, united and prosperous Nagaland.
