Shillong, Dec 9: The state government has decided to introduce science stream in five colleges in the state.

Addressing media persons after a cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said the five colleges include Sohra college, Williamnagar Government College, Baghmara college, Mawphlang and Mahendraganj college.

He said this is because the National Education Policy requires multidisciplinary subjects to be given and “therefore we have felt that the best way to begin this would be to ensure that the government colleges have multi streams.”
