Jowai, Sept 17: In an unfortunate incident, four men were injured after a lightning strike that occurred on Monday at Mowshadep village under Laskein Block of West Jaiñtia Hills District.
It is said that the four men had gone to attend a funeral at Mowshadep village and the incident occurred at around 2:00 pm when a lightning struck the tree under which they were seeking shelter from the rain.
The injured were identified as H. Ting from Mooshrot, B. Tyngkan from Niawkmai, P Sten from Mukroh and S. Lyngdoh from Sahsniang village.
All of the men were shifted to the hospital and two of them are reported to be in serious condition.
