Tura, April 26: In a tragic incident that occurred on Thursday in Badupara, West Garo Hills, the bodies of two individuals were discovered hanging from a tree.
The deceased were identified as Nikera D Sangma (17 years old), son of Shri Manjhi D Sangma, and Medanchi Ch Marak (17 years old), daughter of Peter M Sangma from Rongdenggre Chokpot.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths, and the motive behind this apparent double suicide remains unclear.
The bodies have been transported to Baghmara with proper arrangements, including an escort, for post-mortem examination.
