Tura, April 12: One Mahindra XUV 300 was destroyed by a blazing fire while moving in the Tetengkol area in Tura, West Garo Hills, on Friday at around 5:30 pm.
It was informed, that the vehicle driver narrowly escaped the incident.
The vehicle belong to Lisandra R Marak, a resident of Tetengkol.
The entire area was crowded as the Fire and Emergency Services tried to douse the blazing fire. Unfortunately, the fire burned the car entirely.
However, no casualties were reported.
A lady who owns a small shop nearby said, “I was checking my mobile when a young boy told me to see the vehicle catching fire. Only then could I sense that it might become a dangerous situation, as if the vehicle had blasted like in the movies.”
She also added, “The flames were so high, and I was so terrified that I even forgot to take videos on my mobile.”
An investigation has been launched to probe the exact cause of the blaze.
