Tura, Feb 18:Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Sunday extended his greetings to the Hindu community of Tura while inaugurating the Thakurbari Guest House and Annapurna Hall in the presence of Speaker of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Thomas Sangma, who is also the MLA of North Tura.
The hindu ritual, Prana Pratishtha, that will see the installation of the idol of lord Rama is currently underway at Thakurbari Temple and the religious ceremonies will complete on February 22.

The new guest house together with a hall at Thakurbari were funded by the Chief Minister’s Special Development Fund (CMSDF).
Speaking on the occasion, chief minister Conrad K Sangma assured that his Government will support organisations to introduce skill training and empowerment of the youth. He added that Government has introduced various programmes to promote entrepreneurship and the youth should avail the benefit of such programmes.
