Tura, Jan 12: The 5th Meghalaya Games 2024 witnessed an intense clash in the U-18 Girls’ football division on Friday as Eastern West Khasi Hills overpowered East Garo Hills in the third match of the day.
The initial half of the game witnessed an intense confrontation between the two teams, with both successfully finding the net and securing one goal each.
However, in the second half, the Eastern West Khasi Hills displayed remarkable prowess, netting an additional three goals. East Garo Hills had no answer to this dominant performance by Eastern West Khasi Hills, and remained stagnant with a solitary goal.
As the final whistle sounded, Eastern West Khasi Hills’ won the match with a commanding 4-1 lead over East Garo Hills. With this victory, Eastern West Khasi Hills have advances to the next round.
