Tura, June 13: A murder incident took place in Monabari area of South West Garo Hills district, bordering Mankachar in Assam on Tuesday evening in which a younger brother stabehd his elder leading to his death.
The incident occured in Ichakuri village under Monabari police outpost wherein one person namely Akirul Islam (32 years) s/o – Shri Amjad Hussain r/o – Ichakuri was fatally stabbed by his younger brother Ajadul Islam(28 years).
The altercation happened in their residence and in consequence to that stabbing took place right outside the house.
The younger brother (accused) later tried to save the injured brother by taking him to Mankachar CHC, Assam but the attending doctor at the hospital declared the victim as brought dead. The accused person has been arrested by police.
