Skeletal remains found in river near Paham-Mawleiñ village in Ri Bhoi

Nongpoh, May 15: Skeletal remains of an unidentified person were found by the Ri Bhoi police on Sunday in one river near Paham-Mawleiñ village, 20 Mile under the Byrnihat Police Outpost.

According to police, the skeletal remains were found by the locals at around 10:30 in the morning. The locals then informed the Rangbah Shnong, who later informed the police. The Police rushed to the spot and took possession of the skeleton. A complaint was also registered in this regard.

Due to the condition of the remains, till filing of this report, police are yet to identify the body.
