104 families affected by fire accidents in Meghalaya over past 5 years: Minister

SHILLONG, FEB 17: Revenue & Disaster Management Minister Lahkmen Rymbui has informed the Assembly that 104 families have been victims of fire accidents in Meghalaya over the past five years.

Replying to a question tabled in the Assembly, Rymbui provided the breakdown of fire incidents: 20 in 2025-2026, 46 in 2024-2025, 26 in 2023-2024, 6 in 2022-2023, and 6 in 2021-2022.
