West Khasi Hills police nabs two, recovers 7 grams of heroin

Shillong, Nov 4: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of West Khasi Hills police arrested two drug peddlers while intercepting a vehicle on Friday morning and recovered 7 grams of heroin.

Acting on a tipoff, the ANTF conducted vehicle checking at Jaidohkroh, located under Ksehkohlong village, Nongstoin Police Station, West Khasi Hills and intercepted one Maruti Alto 800 bearing registration No. ML-05M-1175.

The two apprehended were the driver of the vehicle and a passenger. 7 grams of heroin contained in 7 tin containers, one empty tin container, two syringes, two cell phones and Rs. 1505 cash was recovered from the passenger. Also, 33 empty plastic tubes were recovered and seized from the vehicle.

The vehicle owner and driver Teiborlin Myrthong (36 years) and the passenger Riboklang Lyngdoh (22 years) were arrested and brought to Nongstoiñ Police Station for further investigation.
