Shillong, June 5, 2026: Risyon Sports Club along with its parent organization Hid Foundation, Shillong, felicitated its football team in a special programme held at the State Convention Centre, Shillong.
The programme was graced by Chief Guest Shri Rakkam A. Sangma, Chairman of Meghalaya Resources & Employment Generation Council, MREGC, Government of Meghalaya, alongside Shri H.M. Shangpliang, Adviser to the Government of Meghalaya and Shri Manish Kumar Madhukar Assistant General Manager of Head Office Megalaya
The felicitation recognized the team’s achievements, dedication, and contributions to sports in the region. Officials highlighted how the club continues to nurture young talent and promote discipline, teamwork, and leadership among youth.
Speaking at the event, dignitaries emphasized the need for sports and environmental responsibility to go hand in hand. They urged players and the community to support green initiatives, waste management, and tree plantation drives as part of building a healthier Meghalaya.
