Tura, Sept 14: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has announced the programme for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination 2026-27, with the examinations scheduled to begin on December 4 and conclude on December 16.
The examinations will be held from 10 am to 1 pm on all scheduled days.
According to the programme issued by MBOSE headquarters in Tura, the English examination will be held on December 4, followed by Science on December 7.
Indian Languages and Additional English will be held on December 9. The Indian language options include Garo, Khasi, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, Urdu and Mizo.
Health and Physical Education, Computer Science and Vocational Subjects are scheduled for December 11.
The Social Science examination will be held on December 14, while Mathematics and Special Mathematics will be conducted on December 16.
For vocational subjects, the Board listed Beauty and Wellness, Tourism, Health Care, Electronics, Agriculture, ITES, Apparels, Plumbing, Food Processing, Telecom, Banking and Automobile Repair. These will be offered in place of Computer Science or Health and Physical Education.
MBOSE said examination halls will open at 9:30 am. Question papers will be distributed at 9:45 am and answer scripts at 9:50 am. Candidates will begin writing at 10 am.
The theory examination for vocational subjects will, however, be held for one hour, from 10 am to 11 am.
The Board also said the examination programme may be rescheduled if unforeseen circumstances arise or if important announcements by the state or central governments coincide with the scheduled dates.
