Manipur govt to introduce ‘No work no pay’ rule for staff not attending office

Imphal, June 27: The Manipur government has decided to introduce “no work, no pay” rule for its employee who are not attending office without authorised leave due to various reasons.

Since the ethnic violence hit Manipur, many employees have stopped going to offices.

According to officials, of the over 65,000 displaced people across Manipur, a large number of government employees are also displaced and have taken shelter in relief camps.

Manipur government has one lakh employees.

The General Administration Department (GAD) has asked all the administrative secretaries to furnish details of employees who are not able to attend their official work due to the prevailing situation in the state.
