Lapangap villagers harvest rice under heavy security cover

Jowai, Oct 10: Lapangap villagers on Tuesday continued with harvesting of their rice paddy at a place called Liariongskai, Lapangap where recently there was a tussle between the communities residing along the Assam – Meghalaya border.

The harvesting was done in the security cover provided by the police of Assam and Meghalaya.

On Wednesday, the harvest will be at the fields at Nangjrong, which is beyond the Karbi inhabited village of Tahpat.
