SHILLONG, JAN 27: The new Assembly building construction at Mawdiangdiang is nearing completion, with external works finished and interior works underway, Assembly Speaker Thomas A Sangma informed on Tuesday.
“External works have been completed. As you can see from outside, it is completed, but interior works are still going on,” Sangma said.
The internal works include installation of audio-visual systems, CCTVs, and wiring.
When asked about the project’s deadline, Sangma said, “The June deadline still stands as of now. We are trying our best.”
He announced that the high-powered committee will be meeting very soon on-site.
