Shillong, Sept 10: A serious security breach has occured in Jowai district jail with Jowai Police confirming that six accused under trial prisoners who were recently arrested, including murder accused by the name of I Love You Talang, breaking free from prison around 1:30 pm on Saturday the 10th September 2022.
The criminals who escaped included Ramesh Dkhar, Rikamenlang Lamare, Marsanki Tariang, Shidorki Dkhar and Lodestar Tang.
A red alert and lookout notice has been issued by police and all the tourists, local taxi associations and even bus and truck drivers in the area have been advised to be aware of the 6 accused persons who have escaped from Jowai Prison today and requested all units to kindly step vigilance for speedy detection of these accused persons.
