Tura, Aug 31: The Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) on Wednesday launched the 5kg FTL Cooktop in Tura at Tura Indane Service. The launch function was graced by Divisional LPG Head (IOCL) Kalyan Nath, his colleagues Asst. Sales Manger Manish Sharma and Pranab Kr. Sharma.

It was attended by 16 Distributors of Garo Hills and some customers who would be the first beneficiaries of the same.

On the occasion, Manish Sharma elaborated about the usage of the new set in terms of convenience, where a lone individual could use it by simply producing an ID and purchasing it, or anyone going for camping, or those staying for a month or two could use it as it is handy and convenient.

The cost of the cooktop is Rs.1100 and the 5kg FTL cylinder is Rs.1570. The refill charge of this month is Rs.609 (the refill cost varies monthly as per stock market).

Nath mentioned that this is a handy product, and when launched in Shillong, it got sold off quickly, and was hopeful that it would be the same in Tura. Hawkers could use it and even small canteens or shops. He also encouraged other Distributors to start the same.

Six customers were handed the first sets of 5kg FTL along with cooktop and two customers were given the new 10kg Composite cylinders, which are 50% lighter and handy then the 14kg metal cylinders. These can be used at home by either exchanging it with their metal cylinders or simply purchasing a new one by producing an ID.
