Huge cache of hidden armaments found in Garo Hills forest

TURA, Aug 13: A huge cache of ammunition and explosives left behind by the GNLA outfit has been found by East Garo Hills police on Friday night.

Last night based on Source information an operation was launch at pillongre area of Durama range.

At 1.40 am the operation team recovered following cache of arms ammunitions from pillongre area which are suspected to be hidden by GNLA Commander in chief late Sohan D Shira who died in police action.

Recovered items

1. 79 (Seventy nine) rounds of Anti Aircraft Live Ammunition
2. 175 (one hundred Seventy five) rounds of 7.7 Live Ammunition
3. 10 (ten) no.s of Electrical Detonators
4. 1(one) no of 12 bore Double Barrel
5. Approximately 250 grams of Gelleatin

Recovered from the jungle of Pilgonggre area under Williamnagar Ps.
Pillongre is roughly about 15 to 17 km from Williamnagar.
