Guwahati, Nov 6: The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Dimapur, conducted search operations at seven premises across Nagaland, Assam, and Tamil Nadu in connection with alleged violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), 1999.

The searches were carried out following an investigation into M/s Imsong Global Suppliers Co., a Nagaland-based firm claiming to be engaged in the export of human hair to buyers in Tunisia and Italy.

According to the ED, the operation led to the seizure of incriminating documents and digital evidence suggesting irregularities in foreign exchange transactions related to the firm’s export activities.

Officials said the searches are part of an ongoing probe into the company’s overseas dealings and potential money-laundering angles. Further investigation is underway to determine the extent of the alleged violations and identify other entities involved.
