Dibrugarh, July 1: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said Congress party is crying because Manipur is limping back to normalcy slowly.
Talking to reporters in Dibrugarh on Saturday, Assam CM, who is also the chief convenor of NEDA, said, “Now Congress is crying when Manipur is limping back to normalcy. The situation in Manipur has been improving day by day and within 10 days more improvement can be seen and everything will be fine.”
“Now Congress is crying for Manipur, when relative peace has come; they should have cried when situation was volatile in Manipur. That point of time they had not gone to Manipur neither they commented on Manipur. Manipur is almost limping back to normalcy, now they are (Congress) talking about the state. The situation of Manipur has much improved and within few days normalcy will return in the state,” the NEDA convenor said.
He further added, “Silently, Manipur government and Union Home Ministry have been working to bring peace and normalcy in the state. Now, we can see what was the violence in Manipur and the level of violence today in Manipur. Discussion with stakeholders has been going on to bring back peace.”
