Shillong, Aug 23: Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma, has been hospitalized after suffering from high fever for two – days and related symptoms. He was admitted to Civil Hospital in Shillong on Friday, after his health deteriorated further.
Initially treated at home after developing high fever on August 22, Sangma’s blood tests tested positive for both Scrub Typhus and Typhoid.
He was admitted to Civil Hospital on Friday after his health failed to improve with persistent high fever. He is receiving treatment from senior specialists and his condition is being closely monitored.
Although he still suffers from severe symptoms of these climate-related disease, his vitals are within normal range and is being treated under constant supervision.
