Acting on specific intelligence inputs, vigilant troops of the 144th Battalion foiled a smuggling attempt and seized a sugar-laden vehicle (a white Eco Van). The sugar was intended for smuggling across the border.

During questioning, the driver failed to produce any valid documents for the sugar consignment.

The seized goods, along with the apprehended individual, have been handed over to PS Baghmara for further investigation and necessary legal action.
