Guwahati, June 16: Four people lost their lives on Thursday night in a road accident after their vehicle hit a tree near Golai terminal at Digboi in Tinsukia.
According to reports, after attending a marriage party in Dibrugarh they were returning back to destination, when the accident took place.
According to police, the accident happened when the Tata Tiago vehicle, which was travelling from the Dibgoi side to Ledo hit a roadside tree in front of the Golai oil terminal. The people in the car were returning home after attending a marriage party.
The Police official, the driver of the vehicle and a woman died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries at Assam Medical College & Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh.
The deceased were identified as Disha Gupe from Lidu Bazar, Amrit Dutta from Jagun, and Subhash Goope. While the injured have been identified as Sadhana Gupe and Ratan Goope out of which one succumbed to injuries.
