SHILLONG, OCT 8: NPP state president Prestone Tynsong on Thursday trashed BJP MLA AL Hek’s claim that several NPP MLAs want to join the BJP, asserting that all 33 legislators of the party are united and intact.

“I don’t believe in comments, I believe in reality. Please when you ask me a question, ask the reality, don’t depend on this social media, that is not at all the gospel truth,” Tynsong told reporters.

He said Hek’s statement is his personal view and holds no weight.

“That is the view of Bah AL Hek but I don’t think Bah Hek is the state president of NPP, I am the state president of NPP. I think I know better than anybody else,” Tynsong said.

“Let me just tell you one thing, we are united, all 33 elected MLAs of the NPP are intact. As of now I don’t see any rift at all,” he asserted.

Tynsong said he would have responded had the claim come from the BJP state president.

“I will not comment much about the statement made by AL Hek. Maybe if the state president BJP says something, then maybe I can comment but Bah Hek, he is the only MLA,” he said.

“So I think you please go and ask from Bah Hek and please go and reverify from the state president of BJP,” he added.
