Shillong, Sept 12 : The incumbent MDC of Nongthymmai, Latiplang Kharkongor, breathed his last on Thursday at Civil Hospital in Shillong.
It was reported that Kharkongor had been battling a long-term illness. He was admitted in Civil Hospital Shillong after he returned from Delhi for medical treatment.
Kharkongor, a five times MDC, had also served as the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) from November 2019 to February 7, 2020.
