Guwahati, Aug 29: Northeast’s Jaden Rahman Pariat emerged champion at the 3rd season of the Indian Racing Festival (IRF) held at Madras International Circuit (MIC), Chennai from 23rd- 25th August. Jaden claimed the top spot in the Formula 4 Indian Championship category.

The IRF, which boasts an incredible line-up, including Indian and international drivers, went racing in both competitions, the Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC) and the Indian Racing League (IRL).

The first race of the opening round of the F4IC was nothing short of a thriller as Seventeen-year-old Jaden Pariat of Bangalore Speedsters claimed the top podium spot after Hugh Barter retired in the final lap.

After starting from fourth, Jaden got off to a great start, getting past Ruhaan Alva in the opening stage, with both battling it out for the next few laps. Alva had the opportunity to reclaim his spot when Jaden lost the back of his car, but the latter defended well to keep his spot.

It was just last week that Jaden bagged the MRF Formula 2000 championship title at the final round of the Indian National Car Racing Championship in the single-seater category. He is the first from Eastern India to achieve this feat.
