First in Tura | Two major heart surgeries conducted at Civil Hospital, patients discharged

Tura, May 25 : Two patients, who underwent major heart surgeries at Tura Civil Hospital on Wednesday, are being discharged today.

The first patient, is a 76-year-old from Selsella, treated for a heart block and had a pacemaker installed on May 22 2024.

Another patient, a 51-year-old from Rongjeng, who suffered a heart attack, had a double stent procedure.

Both the patients were high-risk, and delays in their treatment could have been fatal.

Doctor said that both the patients have responded to the treatment and are recovering.

Meanwhile, National People’s Youth Front, youth wing of NPP called on Chief Minister and NPP National President Conrad K Sangma to express their gratitude for the installation of Cath Lab at Tura Civil Hospital.
