KHADC remembers JJM Nichols Roy, architect of Sixth Schedule, on death anniversary

Shillong, Nov 1: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) paid rich tribute to the Father of the Sixth Schedule, James Joy Mohan Nichols Roy, on his 64th Death Anniversary at the Council premises on Wednesday.

During the commemoration, KHADC CEM Pyniaid Sing Syiem emphasized that bolstering the District Council would serve as a fitting homage to the reverend JJM Nichols Roy, known as the Architect of the Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution.

The KHADC CEM fondly remembered late Rev. Nichols Roy as a dedicated individual who tirelessly worked towards empowering the Autonomous District Councils (ADCs). Deputy CEM PN Syiem and MDC Bindo Mathew Lanong also shared their thoughts on the occasion.
