Shillong, May 11: NPP leader and Dy CM Sniawbhalang Dhar on Thursday refuted rumours that there will be a change in MDA-II government post Sohiong election.

The polling for the adjourned Sohiong seat was held on Wednesday and the counting is scheduled on May 13.

Dhar said the alliance parties in the MDA-II government have strong ties and there will be no change in the government after declaration of Sohiong election result.

On the counter-claims from both sides, Dhar said all these are just “election speeches” and what happened during election remains only in the election.

Asked on his prediction for Sohiong, Dhar said “let us wait for the counting date”. “NPP will claim that the NPP is winning, the UDP also claim that it winning,” he remarked.
