Tura, Oct 17: Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) started its golden jubilee celebrations with a three-day extravaganza on October 17, 18 and 19.
To mark 50 years of MBoSE, the Director (Administration), Tura announced several programmes including PPT presentation on ‘Milestones of MBOSE’ release of souvenir, quiz, and other cultural performaces by the students from various schools.
The three-day celebrations started with a bike rally from the MBOSE campus at around 9:15 a.m. by NH51, MBOSE staff, and schools, ending at Green Haven, New Tura, on the opening day.
On the second day of the celebration, that is on October 18, Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar will be attending the celebrations as the chief guest, Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma will be guest of honour, Commissioner & Secretary, Education Department Pravin Bakshi will grace the event as the special guest and the afternoon session will include academic discourse by different distinguished speakers on ‘The Spread of Education in Meghalaya.
On the third day that will be the last day of celebration on October 19, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will grace the occasion as chief guest, Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma as guest of honour and the chief secretary to the Government of Meghalaya D P Wahlang will be the special guest.
