18 swimmers from Meghalaya to compete at 3rd Himalaya Swimming Meet

Shillong, Aug 24: In a historic moment for the state of Meghalaya, a contingent of 18 talented swimmers from the Meghalaya Swimming Association (MSA) is all set to represent the state at the highly anticipated 3rd Himalaya Swimming Meet.

The event is scheduled to take place in the state of Sikkim, commencing on August 26.

Among the group of 18 swimmers, 8 are female and 10 are male participants, each primed to compete across the Sub Junior, Junior, and Senior categories.

The state’s debut appearance at this prestigious competition marks a significant milestone for swimming enthusiasts and athletes in Meghalaya.

MSA President, Joe Marweiñ, and Secretary, Ian A. Lyngdoh, met the young swimmers before they leave the State.

The 3rd Himalaya Swimming Meet will witness a convergence of swimmers from different corners of the region. The host state, Sikkim, is ready to welcome participants from Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Siliguri, and other neighbouring areas.
