Two pressure group members arrested in connection with deaths of two non-tribals in Ichamati

Shillong, March 2: East Khasi Hills Police arrested two members of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) South Khasi Hills on Monday, allegedly involved in the death of two non-tribals at Ichamati on March 24.

The two suspects, identified as Shamborlang Shati (26) from Wahutim, and Meshadap Skhembil from Saitsohpen Village, Sohra, were arrested on Monday, sources informed.

The two suspects were initially detained at Sohra Police Station and brought to Sardar Police Station, Shillong, on Tuesday morning for further investigation, according to sources.
