Guwahati, June 9: At least 10 killed, several injured after a bus carrying pilgrims plunges into gorge. The bus met with an accident after it was reputedly targeted by terrorists in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir
Suspected terrorists open fired on a bus carrying pilgrims from the Shivkhoda temple in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on Sunday, police sources confirmed.
The bus was returning from Shivkhoda temple to Katra when it was attacked by terrorists believed to be hiding in the upper reaches of Rajouri, Poonch, and Reasi. The attack left at least ten pilgrims dead and several others injured.
Police teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to secure the area and assist the injured. An extensive search operation has been launched to track down the terrorists.
According to sources, it is the same group of terrorists who were hiding in the upper reaches of Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi.
