STP to test new traffic arrangements from Nov 6 at Polo & Madanrting areas

Shillong, Nov 3: With the aim to improve vehicular traffic at Polo and Madanrting areas, the Shillong Traffic Police (STP) has decided to make certain changes on the traffic regulation around the following routes on a trial basis with effect from November 6.

Polo area:

No Entry at 4th Furlong Junction for vehicles wanting to proceed towards Polo. They will be diverted towards CS Junction / Pinewood Junction / B. K. Bajoria Junction.

No Right-Turn at Matri Mandir Junction for vehicles wanting to proceed towards Polo Bazaar Junction. They will be diverted towards 4th Furlong.

No Right Turn at Green Hills Junction for vehicles coming from Polo Towers road wanting to proceed towards 4th Furlong. They will have to take Right Turn at Polo Bazaar Junction and proceed towards 4th Furlong.

STP to test new traffic arrangements from Nov 6 at Polo & Madanrting areas

Madanrting area:

The road from Lumbasuk Junction towards National Law University (NLU) shall be made One Way i.e., vehicles can only proceed from Lumbasuk Junction towards NLU.

The road from Demthring Petrol Pump Junction towards Madanrting Presbyterian Junction shall be made One Way i.e., vehicles can only proceed from Demthring Petrol Pump Junction towards Madanrting Presbyterian Junction.

The road from Madanrting Market Junction towards Demthring Petrol Pump Junction shall be made One Way i.e., vehicles can only proceed from Madanrting Market Junction towards Demthring Petrol Pump Junction.
