Shillong, April 23: The pilot testing phase of the integrated TIMS-PM Poshan App was concluded successfully covering 22 schools spread across all 15 sub-divisions of Meghalaya.

This milestone marks a significant step forward in the effort to streamline reporting processes for the PM Poshan Prime Minister’s Poshan Abhiyan scheme, a flagship initiative aimed at enhancing nutrition in schools.

The TIMS-PM Poshan App integrates daily reporting requirements for the PM Poshan scheme seamlessly into the existing TIMS Attendance Mobile Application. This integration eliminates the need for separate reporting systems, thereby saving valuable time and effort for school staff.

The TIMS-PM Poshan App facilitates daily and monthly reporting for the PM Poshan scheme directly within the TIMS app, simplifying the overall reporting process. With the app providing real-time updates on attendance data, transparency and accountability within the scheme are enhanced. Geo-fencing features incorporated into the app play a crucial role in ensuring the authenticity of attendance data submitted by schools.

The successful completion of the pilot testing phase sets the stage for the broader implementation of the TIMS-PM Poshan App across all schools in Meghalaya. This initiative holds the promise of significantly enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the PM Poshan scheme within the state, thereby contributing to the overall welfare of students.
