SHILLONG, MAR 5: Over the past week, Meghalaya BJP Kisan Morcha, led by its president Ralden Bryan Shabong, held a series of programs at Umsaw Mawjynrong Mawlai aimed at providing better healthcare, enhanced capabilities and modern facilities to the farming community. In one such event, the BJP Kisan Morcha organized a free health camp which came as a boon to the residents of the area.

Primary checkups were done and necessary medication handed out and prescribed. In the same event, the party unit helped farmers open zero balance Savings Accounts to ensure more people come within the fold of modern banking. The benefits of such a move need no explanation. The activity was undertaken in collaboration with CR Project along with Suraksha Company and IDFC Bank Shillong.

During another program, BJP Kisan Morcha spread awareness about new age farming techniques and also distributed free seeds of various vegetables, bio organic pesticides and bio organic processed manure at Diengpasoh. The activity was organised and seamlessly executed in coordination with Sordar Shnong Diengpasoh, executive members of village council and farmers. State Kisan Morcha Vice President Duruth Majaw and General Secretary Bijit Khongsit also attended the programs.
