Shillong, Oct 7: 26 students from Meghalaya who were studying in different institutions in Sikkim have safely reached Shillong on Saturday evening.
They were studying in Himalayan Pharmacy Institute and Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology at Majitar, East Sikkim.
They reached the ISBT in Shillong at around 7 PM.
Meghalaya Govt had pressed its resources into action soon after the devastating flash floods in Sikkim. It had started the operation to evacuate its citizens and students from different parts of Sikkim on Friday and by the night, 26 students had been rescued and were on their way to Shillong via a bus.
