Shillong, Sept 9: Shillong’s Cherry Blossom Festival this year is about to get a whole lot hotter! Get ready to groove as global sensation Akon headlines the “Year of Legends” lineup, bringing his chart-topping hits like “Smack That” and “I’m So Paid” to the stage.

Meghalaya is pulling out all the stops for this year’s festival, dubbing 2024 the “Year of Legends” – and rightfully so! Alongside Akon, the lineup is stacked with iconic acts like the legendary Boney M, who’ll have the crowd dancing all night long.

Organized by Rockski EMG in collaboration with Akon’s company, Konvict Touring, this performance is part of Akon’s “Superfan Tour,” which includes one show per country in Asia during November and December, with additional stops in as many as 8 countries.
