RTI activist Disparing Rani red flags incomplete project worth over Rs. 18 cr

Shillong, Oct 3: RTI activist Disparing Rani on Monday informed that the development of various infrastructures under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme amounting to Rs 18.82 crore at Lum Sohpet Bneng is yet to be completed.

Talking to reporters, Rani said, as per RTI findings, Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation has claimed that the physical progress of the project is around 94 percent.

According to him, however, the visit to the site tells a different story as it was found that the implementation of many components of the project are yet to be completed.


He further stated that the timeline to complete the project was 18 months from the commencement of the project, which began in February 2019.
