RM Kurbah re-appointed as DC of East Khasi Hills

Shillong, June 24: Meghalaya government on Monday retransferred Rosetta Mary Kurbah as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of East Khasi Hills District with immediate effect as it effected a bureaucratic rejig.

Kurbah was transferred before the Lok Sabha elections and was replaced by S.C. Sadhu as East Khasi Hills DC.

Following the transfer, Kurbah served as the Secretary of Community & Rural Development, Fisheries, etc., Departments, and Director of Community & Rural Development.

Meanwhile, S.C. Sadhu has been transferred and posted as Secretary of Community & Rural Development Department, Fisheries Department, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, and Water Resources Department, as well as Director of Community & Rural Development.

A. Baranwal, the Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Ri-Bhoi District, Nongpoh.

Additionally, S. Awasthi, the Deputy Commissioner of South Garo Hills District, Baghmara, is now transferred and posted as DC of East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat.

Pilot R. Marak, Senior most Additional Deputy Commissioner, South Garo Hills District, Baghmara shall look after the office of the Deputy Commissioner, South Garo Hills District, Baghmara with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders.
