Raibah Living Library launched in SWKH, fostering intergenerational learning and cultural heritage

Shillong, Nov 2: The Raibah Living Library, a pioneering initiative celebrating indigenous knowledge and community learning, was inaugurated at Raibah Village, South West Khasi Hills District.

The event, themed “A Step in Futurity,” was organized by Captain Williamson Sangma State University (CWSSU) and Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU), in collaboration with Green Hub and Royal Enfield.

The library aims to bridge generations through dialogue, creativity, and learning rooted in local culture and traditions.

The inauguration featured storytelling sessions, cultural performances, traditional games, and oral presentations, highlighting the importance of community-based learning and indigenous knowledge revival.

A documentary film showcasing the journey of the Raibah Living Library and TALES initiative was also screened.

The event concluded with a community feast and musical performances, emphasizing unity and shared purpose.
