SHILLONG, OCT 15: Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Urban Affairs Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar said work on the Polo Market Complex has been allotted and will begin shortly, while the MTC Mall at Khyndailad is nearing completion.
Speaking to reporters, Dhar said he has cleared the file for Polo Market.
“I have already approved the file and the work has been allotted. If there is no further change, work will start very soon,” he said.
On the MTC shopping complex at Khyndailad, Dhar said only a small part of the construction remains.
“There is slightly some part left. As soon as everything is complete, we will float the EOI,” he said, adding that the process is expected to be completed this year.
The minister said he will conduct a final inspection after the Lok Sabha byelections.
“After the MP byelection, I will go for inspection for finalization,” Dhar said.
