Shillong, July 20: Before the commencement of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, PM Modi on Thursday opened up for the first time about violence in Manipur and he also said that the accused involved in the recent viral video of two women will not be spared.
PM Modi said, “…I assure the nation, no guilty will be spared. Law will take its course with all its might. What happened with the daughters of Manipur can never be forgiven.”
He also appealed to all the Chief Minister’s to protect all the women, be it Rajasthan, Manipur or Chattisgarh.
“We should rise above politics to protect women,” said PM Modi.

Manipur Viral Video
The video of the two Kuki women being paraded naked by a mob has gone viral on social media.
According to the statement by Manipur Police, the incident is said to have occurred on May 4, a day after the ongoing clashes in Manipur began (May 3).
It also said that the incident occurred in B Phainom village in Kangpokpi district. One of the women was gang-raped, the first information report (FIR) filed in connection with the incident said.
In the viral video, several men, apparently Meiteis, walking alongside the two women as they were taken to the fields. In the video, some of the men can be seen groping the women.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also spoken to Manipur CM N Biren Singh over the recent viral video of two women brutalised.
