Petrol Bomb hurled at residence of Deputy CM Sniawbhalang Dhar in Shillong

Shillong, April 26: A petrol bomb was hurled at the residence of Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar, located in Nongmynsong by unknown miscreants on Thursday evening.

According to police source, the miscreants threw the petrol bomb from the streets, and it landed in the balcony of the Deputy CM’s house.

However, no damage or injuries have been reported.

Following the attack, Dhar has lodged an FIR against the miscreants, and the police are investigating to apprehend the culprits.

Notably, the police escort vehicle of the Director of NEEPCO (personnel), Maj Gen (Retd) R.K Jha, was also attacked by miscreants on Wednesday evening around 7:30 pm in Demthring, Shillong.

It is also worth mentioning, that three weeks ago, the Mawlai Police Station was also attacked with a petrol bomb, resulting in damage to one police vehicle.
